Business process management (BPM) is a mature discipline that drives corporate success through effective and efficient business processes. BPM is commonly structured via capability frameworks, which describe and bundle capability areas relevant for implementing process orientation in organizations. Despite their comprehensive use, existing BPM capability frameworks are being challenged by socio-technical changes such as those brought about by digitalization.
The research show that, while there is a strong link between current and future capability areas, a number of entirely new and enhanced capabilities are required for BPM to drive corporate success in view of digitalization.
The objective of the Service is to carry out the Modeling of the customer Value Chain using the SCOR, CCOR, DCOR Model created by the Supply Chain Council based on the best logistics practices applied to the soft drink sector.
The Modeling will serve as the basis for documenting and standardizing best practices in customer Value Chain Management throughout its operations.
The Consulting Service will cover the Processes and Organization required to manage the customer Value Chain related to operations in the Sumas market, from which it will seek to incorporate scenarios for the company's entire operations. The work will be carried out at the customer headquarters located in Sumas, Washington.
The ValorX Team will provide training and guidance in the APICS Process Framework (SCOR,DCOR, CCOR Model), will direct the data collection and validation workshops, and will supervise the Work Team that must form the customer for the execution of the Project Activities, including the documentation tool of choice.
The APICS Operations Reference Models are a proposal by the APICS which has become an intersectoral standard that contains the best practices in Value Chain Management.
The Models contains Benchmarking, Reengineering and Process Management elements including:
Standard descriptions of processes
Conceptual framework showing interrelationships between processes
Performance management indicators
Set of best available practices
Profiles, competencies, training resources
According to the Model SCOR, the Supply Chain is made up of the following Macro-Processes:
Planning
Source
Make
Deliver
Return
These Macro-Processes are then studied at various levels of detail, where Level 1 seeks to achieve the strategic alignment of the Supply Chain with the Competitive Strategy of the Business, up to level 3 which contains the description of the best practices of the medium.
Level 3 describes the main Blocks of activities or Sub-processes contained in each variant of the Level 2 Process. In addition, it contains:
Process Flows
Inputs and outputs
KPIs
Best Practices
Tools
Level 4 of the Model must be developed by each company according to the sector that corresponds to it. At that level, each thread is described by classical hierarchical decomposition.
The project will be carried out in 4 stages
